New studio setup making more space for music

So for the last 3 days, I have been changing around things in my music studio. I bought some rather inexpensive plastic racks and glued some laminated counter tops on them then transfered my equipment to them. This not only gave me more room but organized the equipment better. I also rearranged the furniture in the room so that the speakers all have open space to play in and their is room for 8 to 10 people to play in. The Racks and the counter tops I bought at Menards for under $125 so I feel this was a great investment. see the picture below or all my pictures in the

  1. I started putting stuff in my brother’s room the last weekend (or maybe the weekend before that) and now have a somewhat functioning recording area (not a studio by a long shot). I have an amp two speakers sub woofer pro tools LE and a MBox 2. Mostly ready for the class I’m taking but need to know how to record. Still learning…

    Hi John
also have a Mbox2 and it works great since you can record 2 tracks at once and in protools just add more later. I always record the drums and main beat tracks first then record the other tracks since then I have a beat to follow . I still have a long way to go on pro tools since it is complex to learn many of the tools. Keep us updated on what you learn.

I visit your site nearly every day and i love what are you doing with it. Quite a few intresting articles on numerous hot topics and tendencies and you possess skills at writing. I often find new things with your help and for that i say thank you with all my heart. Carry on this excellent work that you are performing. Ok bye!

  8. I ignore that pop crap they have on mtv etc., and I find my own music. You have to look for it. Smashing Pumpkins (from the 90’s) The Birthday Massacre (synth-goth awesomeness) and a few more. X-Factor and stuff like that appeals to 12 year olds, and sadly, mindless adults. People want to make money, fast. So they write shitty songs with no meaning and put together a few loops on their computer, and get some good-looking un-passionate un-talented person to sing. Awful.
